Hi Everybody

Hi Everybody and a very Happy, healthy and prosperous New Year.

Dreadful weather here in Scotland and UK in general just now (in January). However, we soldier on and get on with things and look forward to the Spring which isn't too far away.

I have my usual start to the year singing-wise, with Burns Nights and Ladies Golf Dinners, which I really enjoy. The birth of Robert Burns is apparently celebrated more than any other poet in the world. I remember singing in St Petersburg in Russia and lots of the children knew Burns songs, which they get at school.

After over 20 years of performing at the Hogmanay Ceilidh in The Albert Hall in Stirling, I have decided to do one closer to home near Glasgow. The venue still to be confirmed.

Still enjoying my golf and in fact, I have been elected Vice Captain of the ladies section at my club, so looking forward to that.

Also, enjoying my art class on a Friday morning and my painted Xmas Card was well received this year. So I am looking forward to 2018 with my usual enthusiasm and I am working on a few new songs as well as going over my "Burns" songs just now.

Thank you for all the lovely and encouraging e-mails throughout the year and of course for buying my CD's - and now my LPs which have become popular again.
