Hi Everybody

I saw 2009 out hosting my Hogmanay Ceilidh at the Albert Hall in Stirling. It was a great night with lots of dancing, of course, competitions, spot dances, and the annual quiz. The highlight as always, was the sword dance competition (men in kilts only). Men from all over Scotland and visitors from abroad entered into the spirit of the thing and the response from the audience was tremendous - great fun! Just before midnight, I read a little poem, and the piper played a slow air to reflect for a moment on the "old year". A countdown to midnight, then balloons etc. Another hour of fun before Auld Lang Syne. It was a great end of the year night!

I'm looking forward to 2010, starting of course the "Burns season" and then in early February, a gala charity concert for "Clean Water For Africa", at which I will be hosting as well as singing. With both Scottish and African singers, musicians and dancers, it should be quite a night.

Also, I will shortly be presenting a radio programme here in Glasgow, watch my web site for details. I hope to finally get around to recording a new album, if I can fit it in!! So this year looks interesting.

Finally, I'd like to wish you all the best for the coming year and a special thank you to my constant fans who come to most of my public domain concerts and of course to those of you who bought CD's throughout the year. I hope you're enjoying them.

Have a great 2010
